...well it has been a while

Well it's been just over a year since the last time I blogged. So much has happened over the last 12 months plus - Twinkies are back - let's see if I can sum it all up!

The squishies made it through the school year and actually last month just kicked off 4th and 10th grade.

Over the winter we spent some great times with family, family, family! Thanksgiving and Christmas get togethers, baking and plenty of memories. It was an amazing holiday season that ended on NYE with a great party and close family/friends.

Going into this year the highlights in photos...

We spent my birthday in Seattle...hands down one of my favorite vacations ever. This is a shot from La Push beach. Gorgeous! Even though the trek there was cold, wet and muddy...once you hit the beach you truly remember that good things come to those that wait.

During my birthday trip we stayed at Hotel 1000 and visited all of the sites from the Twilight books/movies. - Yes I am a 15 year old girl trapped in a grown woman's body.

This is a shot from Etta's - which hands down was the best brunch I have ever had, quite possibly ever. We toured the outdoor shops and just explored all of Seattle. Definitely a trip we will make again.

In March/April we had several birthday celebrations. This is best depicted in the cakes I made for the events...

Emma's 9th birthday

Jason's 15th birthday

Both of my nieces also celebrated birthdays too during these months. Emelie turned 5 and Catalina 2!

Following the birthday fun - my husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary....

And during all of these great moments I finally went to the eye doctor and got glasses/contacts...

During the summer we spent more time with family and friends (cooking out, having great times and making memories)! We wound down the summer with a trip to KC where we spent my honey's birthday and were fortunate enough to hit the Power and Lights for front row to Matt Nathanson!

As summer winds down we come back full circle. The squishies are back in school and my honey and I are hard at work. Oh yes and in other great news Rolf received a promotion!

On a side note over the summer  I did spend so much time reading. - Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, The Hush Hush series and currently A Song of Ice and Fire. For my inner 15 year old...(only those true fans will get this next photo)!

Goodnight world!
